This is the first episode of our 3-part DataHour series related to Data Science in the Cyber Security domain. In this DataHour, Nirmal will focus on explaining the basics of cyber security. Before even starting talking about big data or machine learning in security, it is important to understand the foundational concepts or the basics of cyber security. This webinar will be a prerequisite for future sessions. He will cover what the paradigm of cyber security is in today's digital world, the very popular OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, how the concepts of Defense in Depth, and Zero Trust are related and he will also disclose the risk and compliance frameworks like NIST and MITRE attack.
Prerequisites: Interest in learning the application of Data Science in the cyber security domain.
