About the GenAI Meetup: Chennai Chapter

In this GenAI meetup, we will cover-

  • Topic 1: Bespoke LLMs : Building and Scaling customized large language models by Logesh Kumar, Lead Machine learning Engineer at Saama.

  • Topic 2: Can we prove Sam Altman wrong? by Rajeswaran Viswanathan, Head of AI CoE at Capgemini India

  • Topic 3: Search Summarization using RAG by Vaishnavi Kandala, Principal NLP Scientist at Tiger Analytics.

Key Takeaways

Topic 1: Bespoke LLMs : Building and Scaling customized large language models

This talk will cover the benefits of building custom LLMs for enterprises, including the process of building custom LLMs, including data collection, preprocessing, training, and evaluation. We will discuss the different ways to adapt the open source LLMs for the enterprise needs.

Attendees will gain an understanding of how LLMs can be tailored to specific enterprise needs, and the benefits and challenges of building custom LLMs. We will also discuss how these custom LLMs can be scaled.

  • Pros and Cons of building custom LLMs and what is realistically possible.

  • Step-by-step demo of building custom LLMs for an example use case.

  • Considerations for LLM size and latency trade-off.

  • Best practices in efficiently scaling the custom LLMs.

Topic 2: Can we prove Sam Altman Wrong?

This promising talk delves into discussing the current state of the art techniques and algorithms to build a system better than GPT-4 aiming to challenge Sam Altman's assertion.

  • How are LLMs measured?

  • What are the weaknesses of GPT-4?

  • What are the different teams in India trying to surpass GPT-4?

  • Roadmap to prove Sam Altman wrong.

Topic 3: Search Summarisation using RAG

Search Summarization tool is based on Retrieval Augmented Generation which has the ability to answer any question from unstructured data sources such as PDFs, ppts, HTML, excels, and Word/text docs. It can be leveraged by contact or call center agents to answer user queries from policy documents, historical conversations, or claim notes and many more.

It is developed using two key components: Retrievers and LLMs.

  • Overview of Search Summarization, RAG systems and its use cases

  • Understand the Search Summarization tool using RAG system and its key components

  • How it can be leveraged and structured based on the use cases.

  • A quick walkthrough of the code pipeline
