Sachin Kelkar

Head – APJ Scale Software Program , Intel Software & Services Group

Sachin Kelkar is the Head for Scale Software Program for Asia Pacific region for the Intel Core and Visual Computing Group – Developer Relations Division. In this role , he focuses on developing the software solutions market across Asia Pacific by working with key software companies and software developers. Sachin drives the developer evangelism in the areas of AI (artificial intelligence ) , IoT and Game Development . Sachin drives business relationships and developer engagements with Independent Software Vendors ( ISVs) , System Integrators and software developers in the region across consumer and enterprise segments.

Sachin has worked with Intel for 15 years in the areas of developer engagement, software marketing and solutions engineering. He has worked on key projects of local language enabling , mobile application development , IoT and partner marketing. Prior to Intel, Sachin has worked in Microsoft and Citrix and has an experience of @ 20+years in the software and telecom industry. Sachin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Shivaji University in 1992 , followed by a Masters’ degree in Management from Mumbai University.

Dipyaman Sanyal

Program Director of Jigsaw-UChicago-IBM PGPDM Program and Founder-CEO of dōnō consulting

Dipyaman ‘Deep’ Sanyal is the Program Director of Jigsaw-UChicago-IBM PGPDM Program and Founder-CEO of dōnō consulting, a boutique quantitative analytics and investment research firm. After working in New York and India for investment and financial services firms in quant, research and strategy roles, Deep started dōnō consulting in 2012. The firm’s clients include some of the leading global names in private equity, market research, hedge funds and government agencies.

Before joining Bridge SoM in 2016, he led the Analytics Track at IMT, Ghaziabad. A CFA charter holder and Commonwealth Scholar, he has a MS in Applied Economics from University of Texas, Dallas.

Akash Tandon

Data Engineer at SocialCops

Akash Tandon is a member of the Data Engineering team at SocialCops and holds a B.Tech from NIT, Surat. He's passionate about ML and data democratization - interests that had led him to his current role. He's also an open source developer and had participated in the Google Summer of Code program as a student and mentor with the R project for statistical computing. Outside of work, his interests also extend to the domains of education, genetics and healthcare.

Raghavendra Bhat

Principal Engineer at Intel Technologies India Pvt Ltd.

Raghavendra Bhat is Principal Engineer at Intel Technologies India Pvt Ltd. He has a BTech in Computer Science from NIT Warangal, PGDBA (Finance) from Symbiosis Pune and currently pursuing a MBL from National Law School, Bengaluru. He has 19 years of Industry experience spread across domains like Network Management, Embedded platform development for Mobile and IoT segments, Biometrics and ML/DL as applied to Speech use cases. His interests extends to SW architecture methodologies especially requirements gathering, Blockchain where he is on the standardization panel of ISO and BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and Aadhaar ecosystem where he has contributed towards Iris biometric device development and specifying device security requirements.

Session title – AI for Speech & Language Processing

Abstract of the topic: ML/DL techniques are increasingly being applied to various Speech use cases like Speech Recognition, Machine Translation, Text to Speech, NLP etc. In this talk, Raghavendra Bhat will capture the lay of the land on various topologies, what kind of demands they place on the hardware and end with presentation on various tools available to run such workloads most efficiently on Intel compute assets.

Yash Akhauri

Junior at BITS Pilani, Intel Student Ambassador.

Yash Akhauri is an Intel Student Ambassador. He is pursuing a B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation from BITS Pilani. He pursues deep learning research, particularly in the field of computer vision. He is currently working on a new neural network quantization technique which increases the 'capacity' of a neural network while still maintaining the inference advantage of binary neural networks. He hopes to introduce this technique in the form of 'Hadamard Binary Neural Networks' and in the process resolve some central issues faced by distributed artificial intelligence and inference/training in constrained environments. His interests extend to High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
