Data science and machine learning competitions are great ways for data professionals to showcase their skills in action.

So what does it take to repeatedly perform well in these data science challenges? 

In this exciting panel discussion, Analytics Vidhya brings together some of the top hackers who have repeatedly won these competitions over multiple platforms and across several years. Rohan Rao
Kaggle Grandmaster & Data Scientist, H2O.ai

Rohan is a Quadruple Kaggle Grandmaster ranking 100th in ML Competitions, 6th in Datasets, 12th in Notebooks, and 12th in Kaggle Discussion category with 8,8,15 and 56 gold medals to his name respectively. He is also one of the leading hackers at Datahack ranking 12th globally.

Rohan currently works as a Data Scientist at H2O.ai. He has a Masters Degree in Applied Statistics from IIT Bombay. He is also a 17-time National Sudoku/Puzzle Champion. Prior to H2O.ai, he has worked with multiple startups in the machine learning space across various industries, platforms and products.

Sahil Verma
Data Scientist at OkCredit, Analytics Vidhya Rank 2

Sahil Verma is a Data Scientist at OkCredit, a fintech startup. His work is primarily focused on creating machine learning solutions in the Fintech domain for private banks, NBFCs and Startups.

He is a Chemical Engineering graduate from IIT Delhi and is currently ranked 2nd on Analytics Vidhya’s global leaderboard. He has won several hackathons at Datahack teaming up as well as individually and continues to do well.

Apart from his passion and interest in data science, Sahil loves to play football and is a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan.

Dipanjan Sarkar
Lead Data Science Consultant at Propulsion Academy & Google Developer Expert

Moderating this excellent panel we have Dipanjan (DJ) Sarkar who is a Lead Data science consultant and instructor at Propulsion Academy, Zurich. He is also a Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning. He has consulted and worked with several startups as well as Fortune 500 companies like Intel, Applied Materials and Open Source organizations like Red Hat. He primarily works on leveraging data science, machine learning and deep learning to build large- scale intelligent systems. He holds a master of technology degree with specializations in Data Science and Software Engineering. He is also an avid supporter of self-learning and massive open online courses.
