Position Summary:

This is an exciting role working with the Business Ontology & Knowledge Engineering team. Your role will focus on developing large data engineering products and capabilities. This will be core development and technical with techno-management role delivering technical deliveries. The role will require a strong hands-on nature, understanding of our data ecosystem and effectively building and managing data engineering pipelines. Many of the work products developed will enable business specific requirements, data science models, graph-based capabilities, etc. The ability to work through short, mid and long-term focus will be key. The journey will require a constant need for self-learning and working with business.

The role will also require a strong technical mentorship with the team and the ability to get hands-on will be vital. Key areas of the role.

1. Develop | Build | Manage | Data Capability products and services
2. Create | Manage Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) & Turn Around Time (TAT)
3. Data Pre-process & Standardisation
4. Implement Production Pipelines
5. Manage | Maintain | Enhance - Data Engineering Stack | Technology

 Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Role Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Mandatory):

1. Minimum 4+ years of managing hands on Data Engineering with big data roles
2. Hands on experience on the following areas
   1. Data Engineering implementations (PySpark, SPARK, Java, Scala, etc.)
   2. Azure Data Bricks | Other scalable compute platforms
   3. Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud Stack and its data & compute products
   4. Data Warehousing (Microsoft Azure DW, Redshift, Teradata, etc.)
   5. Data Lake (MS, AWS, etc.)
   6. Big Data Ecosystem, (such as Hadoop, Spark)
   7. Large Scale data processing
   8. Production scale Database (such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
   9. NoSQL (such as HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra, Cosmos)
3. Exceptional program management (execution) with proactive program management (using tools) across stakeholders – agile | devops | iterative approach
4. Ability to think understand complex business requirements and render them as prototype systems with quick turnaround time.
5. Hands-on nature (ability to self-code if required (base level) / ability to tech mentor - must) for team members
6. Strong team working and working with grounded collaborations (inter and intra teams)
7. Self-driven & high ownership levels are a must
8. Strong verbal and written/presentation skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external partners/virtual teams.
9. Constantly ahead of curve in latest Data Science related technologies and capabilities that are relevant to BFL/ Business

Qualifications (Nice to have):

1. Strong orientation to Algorithms, Mathematics & Statistics
2. Graph DB (such as Arango, Orient, Neo4j, etc.)

Educational Qualifications (Mandatory):

1. Educational background BTech | MTech | Sciences (Computer Science, Data Mining, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics, Communications)
