We are looking for a hardworking, aspirational and innovative engineering leader for the ML Engineer position in our AI engineering and innovation team within the CDO organization. The lead ML engineer will play a diverse and far-reaching role across organizations providing leadership and influencing adoption of technical solutions, strategies and design patters across multiple teams and partners within Kimberley-Clark.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in research and innovation of data science projects that have impact to our products and customers globally
  • Apply ML expertise to train models, validates the accuracy of the models, and deploys the models at scale to production
  • Design, build systems which improve machine learning scalability, usability and performance
  • Design, create, test and implement complex machine learning and deep learning models and algorithms that drive analytical solutions throughout the organization
  • Work with business managers to frame a problem, both mathematically and within the business context. Perform exploratory data analysis to gain insights about the problem
  • Experienced in proposing ROI based solutions to business driven by AI/ML; Be a storyteller to explain the ‘why & how’ of your data driven recommendations to cross-functional teams
  • Leverage variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks to achieve business outcomes
  • Leverage advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications to improve model recommendations
  • Conduct advanced statistical and other analysis to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and measure performance leveraging TensorFlow
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
  • Identify and develop long-term data science processes, frameworks, tools, and standards
  • Comfortable working in programming languages like SQL, Python and R, as well as with frameworks like Azure ML Ops and Azure Machine Learning; experience designing solutions in distributed teams using Version Control tools like GIT
  • Represent Kimberley-Clark in external ML industry events and publish thought leadership pieces
  • Lead the design of prototypes in our AI factory, partnering with product teams, AI strategists and data scientists, other stakeholders throughout the AI development life cycle
  • Aggregate huge amount of data from disparate sources to discover patterns and features necessary to automate the analytical models
  • Research, write documents and technical requirements, white papers
  • Lead and transform data science prototypes
  • Design AI applications using efficient ML models
  • Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods
  • Explore the state-of-the-art technologies and apply them to deliver customer benefits
  • Think pragmatically when introducing new technologies. Balance the demand for short-term goals to meet project deadlines, with the need for longer-term and innovative solutions
  • Mentor a diverse team of junior engineers in machine learning techniques, tools and concepts. Provides guidance and leadership to more junior engineers.
  • Effectively communicate results to peers and leaders

Qualifications:

  • M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or Machine Learning related degree; or equivalent work experience in the field.
  • 5 to 15 years of core data science and ML experience
  • Experience on multiple complex scenarios, along with complex kind of data modelling
  • Someone who can lead the team / guide the junior team members
  • Diversity of work in data science, diversity in solving different kinds of problems, using and creating different algorithms
  • Complex business problems solution experience
  • Complex initiatives, Initiatives taken outside the work, and more importantly Leading DS teams along with define the use case to go after
  • 5+ years’ experience leading and delivering effective ML solutions for large scale production use cases.
  • Experience in distributed, scalable systems, modern data storage, messaging, and processing frameworks (Kafka, Spark, Databricks, Azure ADLS, Azure ML etc.). Working experience on how to put modern data / ML pipelines together using these frameworks
  • Experience with a number of ML techniques and frameworks, e.g. data discretization, normalization, sampling, linear regression, decision trees, deep neural networks, etc.
  • Strong technical advocate with a background in Java, C++, or Scala, and Python.
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Data Studio, Shiny, D3, ggplot,etc.
  • Collaborative working style with a strong focus on disciplined execution and results.
  • Strong ability to communicate relevant information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to look ahead to identify opportunities and thrive in a culture of innovation
  • Self-starter who can see the big picture, and prioritize your work to make the largest impact on the business’ and customer’s vision and requirements
  • Experience in building, testing, and deploying code to run on Azure cloud datalake
  • Experience with at least one of the deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras.

Global VISA and Relocation Specifications

K-C requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based. In the event an applicant does not have current work authorization, K-C will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization. However, based on immigration requirements, not all roles are suitable for sponsorship.
This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role’s country only. K-C will not provide relocation support for this role.
