Kira Studio (https://kirastudio.xyz/) is a web3 software product studio focusing on building revolutionary businesses. We are recruiting Data/Research Scientist for one of our groups that is building an automated infrastructure on Web3 that allows users to offer their resources securely to the liquidity pools and earn a fee on every successful exchange.

One of our teams is building an intelligent liquidity pool management system which is needed to forecast liquidity (inventory) at different locations to satisfy user requests.

Within a scientific, hypothesis-driven framework, we intend to leverage modern statistical methods and vast datasets to drive every step of the liquidity allocation and maintenance process.

Role Summary

  • We are seeking a candidate who has excelled in quantitative research and demonstrated ability to conduct independent analysis utilizing large datasets
  • The Quantitative Analyst will head the Data Analytics team and will be responsible for developing rigorous scientific methods and analytics for a sophisticated quantitative asset allocation process covering optimization and forecast models
  • Quantitative research experience could be in the fields of mathematics or statistics. This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong statistical/analytical background and are interested in quantitative analysis

Key job responsibilities

  • Apply advanced statistical techniques, mathematical modelling, simulation, and statistical approaches to develop portfolio optimization and forecast models utilizing large datasets
  • Understand, identify, and select variables from historic data and design predictive models based on micro and macro indicators from the industry
  • Collaborate with the development team to automate the predictive and optimization models
  • Identify effective metrics to evaluate and demonstrate the trade-offs between potentially competing objectives
  • Continually evaluate the performance of the models and refine them to support decision making
  • Present analysis in standard reports for internal and external stakeholders

Mandatory Requirements

  • Masters/PhD. in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or similar quantitative disciplines from a top tier institute
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical packages/programming languages like Python, R etc.
  • Experience in Optimization Modelling/ Advanced Analytics/ Demand Forecasting/ Operations Research/ Inventory Optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent in-depth analysis utilizing large datasets
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people at all levels in the organization, often in virtual teams spread across multiple time zones


Preferred Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related quantitative discipline)
  • Optimization modelling experience in Blockchain/Forex/Banking/Inventory optimization etc
  • Hands on Optimization Solvers like gurobi/CPLEX etc.
  • Experience with stochastic models
