Data is an integral part of Kotak Mahindra Bank – it is instilled in its DNA. Analytics is not just limited to the analytics team – but is important for each and every employee of the organization. This enables an efficient data-based discussion. Given the vital importance of analytics, Kotak Mahindra has structured around a centralized Analytics CoE team. The CoE has strong capabilities across the entire spectrum of the analytics function.

The role – Business Analytics

Business Analysis is a core business function within the Analytics CoE. This role requires you to understand the changing business needs, evaluating the impact of these changes, and identifying & analyzing requirements. It will play an important part in ensuring that the data science team is able to meet and exceed the expectations of the Bank – giving tangible benefits to the business teams.

You will be required to document and facilitate communication among all the stakeholders involved. 

What would the work require you to do?

Responsible for supporting data driven intelligence and data analytics, optimizing the company’s ability to leverage data to drive business value, growth and efficiencies. To translate the data and numbers to make better business decisions. Develop a strong engagement with the business teams.

What are the key aspects required for the role?

A love and passion for playing with data. The role would give you access to diverse data coming from multiple domains and from multiple tools. You need to carry a passion to explore this data. You will guided by excellent mentor and train you in this journey. You will bring a keen desire to learn and explore. 

This includes a strong inclination towards analytics and statistics. Strong technical skills are a basic requirement. This has to be coupled with an inclination to solve customer problems and improve business processes. So the role is an integration of technical skills and business understanding.

You should be a quick learner, and a self-starter who is willing to take on challenges. It is extremely important for you to have the right attitude, and keep an eye for detail.
