Brief Description of position:

Data Engineer- GCP

Level: Associate Consultant/Consultant/Assistant Manager

Role & Responsibilities

Technical:

• Building and Operationalizing Data Pipelines for both real time and batch loads on GCP according to architectural design (LDM) using DataFusion, DataFlow, Stored Procedures, or similar ELT tools
• Hands-on knowledge of having implemented best practices in data ingestion, processing, storage, querying, and life cycle management in Big Query, BigTable, Firestore, GCS or similar data storage platforms
• Expert in writing reusable, testable, efficient Data Engineering code in SQL / Python. Expertise on both will be a plus.
• Write Unit Test & perform Linting and code optimization
• Ability to perform quick Data discovery & source mapping and develop POCs with business in data engineering tasks
• Maintain and improve data integration pipelines for performance and cost optimizations
• Ability to pick up Domain knowledge through discussions with client, business counterparts, internal literature, and apply the same for creating
• Understanding of Data orchestration processes in GCP and ability to implement Airflow Composer Dags with guidance
• Data Discovery, cataloging, and staging techniques and integration with different source systems

Functional:

• Analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude, attention to details and sense of ownership will be critical to succeed in this role
• Experience of having worked as per scrum/agile framework and methodology and good communication skills
• Insatiable appetite to learn and navigate through uncharted landscape of technology and business

Qualification

• BE/BTech/MCA

CRITERIA

• Education 60% above throughout academic.
• GCP Professional Data Engineering certification would be a plus
• Relevant Experience: 3-8 years
