Marsh McLennan : Specialist, Data Analytics, Sales and Client Engagement

Brief Description of position:

As a part of the Global Sales and Client Engagement Team in Knowledge Services function of Marsh McLennan Global Services (MMGS), the colleague would support our global sales and marketing Stakeholders in the US region. The role is in MMGS’ Mumbai office at Hiranandani, Powai.

What can you expect?

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing colleagues to create marketing analytics and reports
  • Contribute to the creation and review of the “Sales Funnel Reports”, “Sales and Marketing Balanced Scorecards” and “Sales Intelligence KPIs”
  • Help with Sales enablement support initiatives like Knowledge Management etc
  • Apart from BAU, collaborate and contribute to project based initiatives that the Data Analytics and Reporting team within Knowledge Services keep signing-up

We will count on you to:

  • Extract, process and distribute large volume, variety and velocity of data on the agreed frequency, with accuracy and rigour, using the agreed standard operating procedures and process ad-hoc requests on agreed timelines
  • Develop dynamic dashboards/ reports that provide insights and visualization into performance relative to KPIs, projections, and historical performance
  • Use intermediate to advanced Excel, QlikView, Qlik Sense and Tableau skillsets to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of reporting
  • Multi-task on multiple projects on tight timelines when required
  • Ensure data integrity, collaboration and innovation in business processes
  • Communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations, review requirements, build and maintain good open relationships
  • Share knowledge and assist other team members to avoid points of failure and improve/widen colleague’s knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Partners and Development Team members to on-board new production items, ensuring adequate controls and QA checks are identified
  • Monitor regular reports to ensure that both automated and manual outputs are as expected, and manage expectations should issues occur. Flagging pinch points for deliverables to Team Leader
  • Update schedules for owned automated reports to ensure all intended output is produced
  • Provide commentary on the outputs to recipients where applicable
  • Identify problems with outputs prior to release; resolve issues by designing modifications and providing documentation for corrections
  • Improve reports by reviewing current requirements; proposing modifications, designing and documenting them

 

What you need to have: 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the management and sales funnel reporting, marketing scorecards, Sales and marketing KPI creation
  • Graduate or Masters in Commerce or Business Administration or an Engineering Degree or any equivalent education programme
  • Demonstrated experience in SQL queries to connect and automate data extraction
  • Microsoft Excel – Expert on data wrangling, data integration, macros and exceptional ability to handle large sets of data. Must be at ‘Expert’ level of proficiency.
  • Expert level VBA Macros
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools – Qlikview, Qlik Sense and Tableau
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - excellent email writing skills.
  • Must be comfortable with working on new age data management tools
  • Competent level of expertise in handling modern cloud computing platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure etc
  • Knowledge/Demonstrated experience in programming languages like Python, R etc will be an added benefit.
