Reports to – Team Lead

Success Indicators/Outcomes

Skills 

  • Experienced coder in Python/R
  • Strong understanding of ML algos and applications
  • Experienced in SQL and good hands on Excel
  • Experience working in cloud environments preferably AWS. Ability to write and  productionize data pipelines and ML models in a cloud based environment
  • Experience with working at scale using (Pyspark/Rspark)
  • Strong hands on experience of applying ML techniques to business problems. Should  have a good understanding of statistics.
  • Good measurement mindframe for measuring impact of ML models
  • 4+ years of experience in applying machine learning, statistical pattern recognition,  and data mining algorithms to prediction problems
  • Maintaining code versions and experience working in an agile mode 

Delivery 

  • Accountable for end to end project delivery. Able to independently own and  pitch/execute new analytics capabilities. Have a continuous communication with  Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering on accounts, deliverable timelines and  progress of tasks.
  • Seeking opportunities for understanding client’s challenges and actively pitching  custom or existing data science capabilities having business impact
  • Good verbal and written communication & data presentation skills, including the  ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams 
  • Ability to provide recommendations and actionable outcomes from the outputs  generated, and create a narrative to be shared with the market. Should be able to  visualize the outputs easily understood by stakeholders and stitch a story linking to  other media aspects being presented 
  • Drive growth of generalised capabilities over MiQ’s or open source data sources.  Able to identify, infer and evaluate capabilities to enhance current solutions or create  new ones

Strategy 

  • Scale strategic accounts by improving over existing solutions or able to build over  existing capabilities
  • Drive new initiatives for operational excellence within the team within data science,  coding, product and tech
  • Working with local leads to align to respective regional strategies. Identify  opportunities and provide updates on teams capabilities and support on account  where needed
  • Working with other DS teams/Product Managers and understanding and able to  suggest feature enhancements within various MiQ products based on market  requirements

Innovate 

  • Able to generalize capabilities and workflows increasing team’s efficiency
  • Initiatives to research and come up with new ideas to experiment and leading up to  new capabilities creating business impact
  • Research new developments across data science and educate team members by  trying new POCs

  • Should be able to mentor and guide new hires or interns
  • Active participation in recruitment, designing and managing assignments and  interviews
  • Committed to delivers the best towards organization's goals and values
  • Provide constructive feedback to counterparts and work on received feedback
  • Drive brainstorming sessions/ Hackathons/sharing best cases within the team or  externally

Qualifications & Experience 

Skills - 

Must Have 

  • Strong coding experience in R/python. Should be able to execute independently at  scale
  • Good communication skills to be able to translate data science solutions to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Strong hands on experience of applying ML techniques to business problems. Should  have a good understanding of statistics
  • Sense of ownership and accountability
  • Experience building data pipelines and deploying model in cloud environment 
  • A critical thinker. Should be able to identify business problems and provide expertise on approaching the solutions
  • Should be able to independently pitch new solutions catering to clients specific asks
  • Should be able to mentor and guide other members 

Good to Have 

  • Experience within programmatic marketing domain
  • Experience in building Market Mix Models, Attribution, Churn, Customer behavioral predictions, recommendation engines
  • Experience designing data products and integrations 
  • Prior experience in writing and publishing data science papers 
  • Stakeholder Management 
  • Tableau knowledge
