Brief Description of position:

Description The NLP algorithms team at concert AI is working on building a system to enable automated and semi-automated extraction of information from clinical notes and lab reports. We are doing this at scale on data for millions of patients on AWS using the most pragmatic and cutting-edge techniques in NLP. Some examples of information that need to be extracted are the various diagnoses, medications, adverse events, cancer stage, histology, and biomarker information. The input data may be text or scanned reports. The NLP engineer will develop and deploy cutting edge machine learning models working with a global software team, in-house annotation teams and the rest of the AI & NLP teams.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Build cutting edge models using NLP, machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques for a variety of problems in healthcare.
• Work with clinical teams to validate the models and engineering teams to deploy models in production

Requirements:

• Proven track record of architecting and delivering into Production NLP systems
• Deep Expertise in NLP, Machine Learning and deep learning algorithms, and proven record of developing and deploying ML models into production
• Experience with NLP tools and frameworks – eg: NLTK, Spacy, AllenNLP, HuggingFace; and ML/DL frameworks such as scikitlearn, pytorch/tensorflow
• Good python programming skills & ability to quickly learn and adapt to software systems & toolkits , hands-on experience with modern software engineering practices
• Familiarity with querying SQL and no-SQL databases
• Exposure to the AWS ecosystem, Docker, Kubernetes highly preferred
• Must be a clear communicator, collaborative , self motivated, ability to work in a cross functional environment
• Must have a passion for problem-solving
• Experience with healthcare or clinical NLP desired
• Experience 6-12 Years
