Data Engineer (Chennai/Bangalore/Remote)

• As a Data Engineer focused on modern data warehousing, you will be part of teams that build a variety of modern DW solutions. More specifically, you will:
• Transition data within/across traditional RDBMS, MPP DW, modern cloud-based DW
• Build data warehouses & data marts on-premises/cloud
• Ingest batch and streaming data, build ELT / ETL pipelines
• Perform data profiling and quality analyses
• Build dimensional data models
• Capture and document data lineage and analyze ETL workflows
• Perform SQL performance tunings on long-running queries
• Test, validate, and deploy various components
• Collaborate with business consultants, data scientists, and application developers to develop analytics solutions

Preferred Experience, Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience with:
  • SQL
  • ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, SSIS)
  • RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)
  • DW on cloud (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse)
  • Cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Unix shell scripting
  • Scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, Cron)
  • Experience working across the entire DWH lifecycle, including building ETL pipelines, data ingestion frameworks, working across heterogeneous data stores
• Experience with Data Governance – Data Lineage, Data Quality, MDM, Metadata Management, Audit trails, etc.
• 5+ years of experience
