About Re-Date Your Data: Learning Contest

On this month of February where Love is in air, we decided to surprise them who love data.

Those who get intrigued, most definitely curious, about data; here is your chance to exploit it to the fullest.

Analytics Vidhya’s “Date Your Data” contest is Now Live for Registrations!

Important Points

  1. To participate in this competition, you must have knowledge of SAS/R/Python/Julia/Go

  2. You must have knowledge of machine learning algorithms

  3. You must have data exploration skills.

  4. These is NO Registration FEES.

Other Details

  1. The contest starts at 23:59(IST) on 28th February 2016, when the data set and the problem statement will be released.

  2. No submissions would be accepted after 13th march 2016 (11:59 PM IST)

  3. People are free and are encouraged to post their challenges / findings / solutions on the discussion portal in the following category: Online hackathon

  4. The best entry as judged by the metric and Analytics Vidhya gets Exciting prizes.

  5. You are suggested to join this forum. You'll find live chat sessions amongst the data scientists.

  6. After the end of contest, we will release winner's solution to the wider community




Contest Guidelines
  • The hackathon starts at 23:59 on Friday 28th, February and closes on 23:59 on Sunday, 13th March ( IST (GMT + 5:30) )
  • One person can not participate with more than one id
  • You are free to use any tool and machine you have rightful access to.
Solution Checker
  • You are free to use solution checker as many times as you want.
  • You can add comments about your submission so that you can refer to it at a later point.
  • Adding comment is mandatory for use of solution checker
Final Submissions
  • Setting final submission is mandatory. If you don't make final submission, your entry would be dis-qualified.
  • No submissions would be entertained after the hackathon closes.
  • Code file is mandatory while setting final submission. For GUI based tools, upload zip file of snapshots of steps taken by you, else upload code file
  • The code file should exactly replicate the outcome submitted in final submission. If it doesn't, the entry would stand dis-qualified.
Team formation
  • Maximum of 2 people can form a team.
  • In case a team wins, prize would be distributed equally among team members
  • Team once created can't be dissolved.
  • Teams can't be merged.
Expected conduct
  • At any point in the hackathon, you are expected to respect fellow hackers and act with high integrity.
  • Any fraudulent practices, if found would lead to dis-qualification
